DURJOY DATTA... Born on February 7, 1987 (it's good to be 25) ^_* is a best selling author of six books (oopsy daisy.. SEVEN now,, with "TILL THE LAST BREATH..").
This prolific author is a DTU graduate and currently the co-founder of GRAPEVINE INDIA PUBLISHERS.
People, and specially young people (a lot of female attention included ;) ) go gaga for him (and also for his work =) ). His popularity can easily be judged by just glancing at the number of  followers he has on social networking sites.
He has great achievements in life, one of which includes the Honour of receiving the "TEACHER'S ACHIEVEMENT AWARD". Also he was recognised as the HIGHEST BESTSELLING INDIAN author in the year 2011.

But this is not how i portray him.

I just wonder at times, What heck of substance has he got that i started considering him as my idol..????
And the answer was
1. Everything..
2. EVERYthing...
3. EVERYTHING....!!!!! =D
Okayyyy... i agree that you might have heard this line before, but i used because it is absolutely apt on him..  ;) =D
He speaks at various college conferences and seminars. Thus, he is also sharing his experiences with the youth and guiding them in a way.
OFCOURSE I LOVE YOU.... till i find someone better.!! ;)



He wrote his first book with MAANVI AHUJA... a friend, a mate and now the co-author of his book.
Maanvi, a bright student with leadership qualities, is an SRCC and IIM pass out. Not just a pass out, she was elected as the "City Women Leader" from IIM Kozhikode and was a Merit Scholarship Awardee for 2011 and 2012. She was also the co-author of "NOW THAT YOU'RE RICH.. lets fall in love.!" with Durjoy Datta.




The third book came up. "SHE BROKE UP. I DID'NT... i just kissed another girl..!!"


and proved to be a BIG HIT...!!
It was a solo.
It reached the bestseller list in a matter of  few days. It proved that this guy can definitely write and create history as well..!! =)

It seemed as if the guy was done with sharing all his experiences. I mean, what else and what new can a person offer after 3 mind blowing books..??
But, he proved again that he's here to stay and will keep on offering stories worth reading with his fourth book
"OHH YES,,, I AM SINGLE... And so is my girlfriend..!!!" ;)


It was a team work of Durjoy with his friend NEETI RUSTAGI. This beautiful lady helped him to pen down the incidents from his own life in form of a bestseller.

The history kept repeating itself with his fifth and sixth books.

I personally liked this story a lot. It had all the elements of a great reading experience.. =)

"IF IT'S NOT FOREVER"  was another great piece of work with NIKITA SINGH.
Nikita is an author, a bestselling author of LOVE @ FACEBOOK and ACCIDENTALLY IN LOVE was contacted by grapevine and another great book was written. 
The story was itself the USP of the book.
DEB, the lead character, is just enjoying another afternoon of his life and then a bomb blast takes place. He visits the blast site and then his mindset changes.
INTERESTING..!!
And just FYI, Nikita Singh's New book is up for sale,, THE PROMISE..


His recent work is also a SOLO.
"TILL THE LAST BREATH...."
The anxiety, the thought process, the dreams and aspirations of two characters PIHU and DUSHYANT are captured in this book of his. Their struggle, their feelings, the lessons they learn and A PERFECT ENDING is what i thought the book was about.
I recently read it and learnt that being a writer is not about writing mushy love stories.
It's about accepting the reality and creating a world of their own in readers' mind. ;)



This is my recent favourite and i hope he keeps writing such  great stuff in future too..!!
